Although i agree with everyone having a type, i don't think that that's what creativedragonbaby meant at all. The problem is being disparaging or otherwise mean about something people can't control. Granted people can say what they want but she was kinda being mean about it. That being said I'm not defending her being attacked about it but talk shit get hit has it's roots in reality.

That was honestly me for most of my upbringing but now that I've been on my own I'm starting to come out of that mindset. Honestly once i started working i realized that the people who talk to me actually like me rather than at school where they were often obligated to.

The main champion who brought this climate change ideology into american politics was Al Gore, the biggest hypocrite to exist. When the champion of your very movment consumes 20-30x the national household average of energy usage to power his house then you know that no one claiming to be on the environments, at the goverment level, side actually gives a shit.

I ask again. What do you propose we do? You didn't answer the main question. It's easy to throw out slogans and talking points and it's another to do something. I ask this again as I've yet to receive an answer but what are western governments, namely the US, supposed to do at this point? The us is the second largest carbon polluter which has a combined carbon pollution rate of the next 5 countries. Now the #1 spot is held by China who is more than double the U.S in carbon pollution. 1 country alone pollutes the atmosphere more than the next 6 behind it. The U.S. could very much so reduce it's carbon footprint but at the end of the day China will continue to more than replace what's taken out by western nations year over year.

I started with linkin park in middle school/early high school then moved onto disturbed, a7x, ffdp, godsmack, etc. Here recently I've gone more metalcore and into more niche music

I'm referring to the people who like to put labels to opinions that differ from them that have negative connotations (i.e. facism and communism) in western democracies. The practice of labeling each group as an extreme to divert the argument. An example would be the labeling of people who support the building of the wall at the southern border as facist or the people who label the individuals who wish to implement universal healthcare as socialist/communists.
