I can picture him as a crying baby waving his hands and screaming when we said that

No it didnt escalate quickly. In order for that too happen, it would have to start out normal, and the escalate to a more dramatic level. This however was dramatic the whole time and didnt escalate anywhere. That lines over used and it doesnt help that youre out here using it wrong.
