Newer vehicles produce such low emissions that while you can still die from the exhaust- it is much harder. But more so, one could easily rig a permanent or temporary extension to the vehicles exhaust which would direct it to a safe point of exit where it wouldn’t collect inside the occupied area.

Lol. These replies show “2 kinda of people.” @acegalaxi- perhaps. But running the vehicle would allow one to slide the rear window open and run the heaters, or to se an inverter or built in socket without fear of battery drain. If the trucks are diesel as diesel idles very well- the truck is effectively a rolling generator. One could also place a tarp or covering over the inner shell, to form a pocket of air. That itself would help insulate, but if you redirect some or all the exhaust into the space between.... that is of course maintaining you KNOW the inner shell is sealed, and the set up is done to prevent excess gasses or particulates from circulating into the inner shell- and that both materials can take the temperatures and chemicals of the exhaust. @mrfahrenhiet- let no one vet say you backed down from a fight.
