It's true

As a person that lived on the street for two years, this is very true. I gave away anything I had. My shoes. My toothpaste. My coat. My only nickel. I got your back.

That's how you get poorer

I grew up rather poor, now that I'm doing a little better whenever I can I like to help people that are working their way up like I did.

I would argue that it teaches compassion for some, and apathy for others.
