Kibbles, You actually see him doing it himself XD and Minna, that's okay because he is actually surviving in the wilderness and not staying in a hotel at night

@that_creepy_guy: surviving isn't about sitting in a tent and knowing that someone comes to get you on day 7. It's about finding your way out and getting food, water, and shelter. Stroud only really manages to accomplish the last one every time.
You guys do realize the point of the tv show was to teach people how they could survive in certain situations. Not to actually throw the man into near death situations and hope he survives. The show served its purpose in teaching. Who cares if it was real or not.
He never claimed to actually be surviving though. Yeah, the show makes it seem like it (of course, it's better TV) but the point of the show isn't to check if Bear could do it. He teaches viewers how to survive. And even though they have food on set and may sleep in hotels, he still drinks urine, jumpes in half frozen rivers, jump from a cliff to a tree and climb down etc, just to illustrate.
