I never ever could understand why they sacrificed that time. That was the most ridiculous plan ever concocted. Seriously....7 years for an hour!? How is that worth it!!!???

I'm pretty sure it's still the same amount of time, it's just that that planet has an extremely long day cycle because it spins incredibly slowly. Time doesn't pass at a different speed there...
