Their job is to prepare the student for the real world and impart knowledge relevant to the course; ideally the course is pertaining to the student's chosen field of future employment (since the usage of professor implies college). Reinforcing the behavior and thinking pattern of making a game more important than their education, career, or future in general is not doing them any favors.
