Does this remind anybody else about that old movie where some kids get a hold of dinosaur eggs and have to pretend the dinosaurs are just toys as they try and keep them from the bad guys?

It was a film series called Prehysteria. (I've never seen it but it sounded interesting the way you described it so I looked it up)
