The sky was photoshopped in. This is impossible in real life because not only would opening that window depressurize the cockpit, holding a stick out like that against 300mph air resistance would be impossible for a human.

It depends on the type of plane, air resistance, many different kinds of factors. some smaller planes are able to stay in the sky at a meager 300, but require significantly more speed to take off.
