We see a better place. There's no suffering or hatred there. In a world where you feel alone, but you can see so many people around you, it's horrible. A place where people critize you for little things, you just wanna leave. So looking at death, unlike most people, some see it as a way out, others see it as a resolution they didn't want to make.
There was one guy who tried to kill himself by jumping off a bridge, but he survived. When asked later about it he said that the second he jumped he realized that all his problems could be fixed. I think that is what this drawing is trying to say. But I could be wrong.
I dont know exactly how you reached that conclusion but I think based on the perspective it gives, it looks like the POV of the person putting the rope around their neck. So its symbolizing how they view death as true happiness and release while the world around them is bleek and hopeless. Also notice the suicide letter on the counter. Its obvious someone whos gone through this drew this, its perfect.
